The Origin of What We Believe

9x12’ Watercolor and Gouache.Large format painting for the Tufts Chemistry Department. Informed by conversations with professors doing Chemistry research.

The Origin of What We Believe will be a large gouache painting in the long hallway section of the Pearson Building. The theme revolves around the abstraction of the origin of life from a biology, chemistry, and physics perspective. It will show the building blocks of what we understand as life.
This piece aims to bring into abstraction while keeping the accuracy of what we understand as the composition of matter from a molecular level up to an astronomical level. As people walk through the hallway, they will be able to interact with the piece, as in either direction they will be going through life’s origin.
